Laminar Workspaces LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website and services (collectively, the "Service"). Please read this policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access the Service.
We collect information that you provide directly to us, information collected automatically when you use our Service, and information from third-party sources.
Information you provide: Account registration details (name, email address), booking information, payment details (processed securely through Stripe — we do not store full card numbers), reviews and feedback, partner application information, waitlist and venue suggestion submissions, and communications with our support team.
Automatically collected information: Device information (browser type, operating system), IP address and approximate location, usage data (pages visited, features used, time spent), cookies and similar tracking technologies, and referral sources.
Third-party information: Authentication data from our OAuth provider, payment confirmation from Stripe, and publicly available business information for partner applications.
We use the information we collect to: provide, maintain, and improve our Service; process bookings and payments; communicate with you about your account, bookings, and our services; send promotional communications (with your consent); analyze usage patterns to improve user experience; prevent fraud and ensure security; comply with legal obligations; and facilitate our partnership program with café venues.
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with: partner café venues (limited booking details necessary to fulfill your reservation); payment processors (Stripe) to process transactions; analytics providers to help us understand Service usage; legal authorities when required by law or to protect our rights; and service providers who assist in operating our Service, subject to confidentiality obligations.
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL), secure authentication protocols, regular security assessments, and access controls limiting who can view your data. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance your experience. Essential cookies are required for the Service to function (authentication, session management). Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our Service. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may affect the functionality of the Service.
We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including to satisfy any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. Account data is retained for the duration of your account and for a reasonable period thereafter. Booking records are retained for 7 years for tax and accounting purposes. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; correct inaccurate or incomplete data; request deletion of your personal data; object to or restrict certain processing of your data; data portability (receive your data in a structured format); and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at [email protected].
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used, the right to request deletion of your personal information, the right to opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information), and the right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights.
Our Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child without parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
Our Service may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not operated by us. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of every site you visit.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. For material changes, we will provide additional notice (such as an email notification). Your continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes your acknowledgment of the modified Privacy Policy.
